Prof. Aidan Moran is a Professor of Cognitive Psychology and Director of the Psychology Research Laboratory in UCD and a consultant to some of Ireland's leading athletes and teams. A Fulbright scholar and former Olympic Team Psychologist, he has published ten books (most recently, Pure Sport: Practical Sport Psychology, with John Kremer; Routledge, 2008), two self-help audiotapes and many papers in scientific journals on concentration and imagery processes in athletes.

Among his best-known books are Sport and Exercise Psychology: A Critical Introduction (2004, Routledge), Concentration Skills Training in Sport (with Iain Greenlees, 2003, The British Psychological Society) and The Psychology of Concentration in Sport Performers: A Cognitive Analysis (1996, Psychology Press). Prof Moran has delivered keynote addresses at international sport psychology conferences in Portugal, the Czech Republic, Germany, Greece, and the USA and is Editor-in-Chief of the International Review of Sport and Exercise Psychology.
