Martin O neill

Eamon Ryan has been involved in coaching for the past thirty years and is considered a legend among coaches in the sports industry. In GAA coaching circles he is well respected as a coach of many sports. He is currently the coach of the Cork Ladies football team but he has experience in an array of sports at all levels. He has previously worked as a coach of Hurling, Gaelic Football, Camogie and Ladies Gaelic football. Ryan enjoyed All Ireland success with the Cork side winning the All-Ireland Ladies Senior Football Championship in 2005, 2006, 2007 and again in 2008. This successful run has a lot to do with the expertise and backing of Eamon.

Eamon also until 2007 held the position of GAA Games Development Officer for University College Cork (UCC). This was a position Ryan took very seriously as he was responsible for the teams welfare. Eamon’s work with the University was recognized in 2007 when he was given a special achievement award, known as the Kieran Dowd Perpetual Award.

Eamon is a fully qualified coaching tutor. Eamon is also involved in working as a Coach Education Tutor, for both the GAA and Camogie. Eamon’s role within each club as a tutor is to introduce GAA into the local schools and encourage the young children to join the local club. Eamon is known for his ability to bring out the best in people.
