Brid Stack

Brid stack is a Cork senior Gaelic football player; she is currently playing on the Cork Ladies Senior team. This cork side is very successful on a national level winning the All Ireland Senior Ladies Football Championship four years in a row, from 2005 onwards and more recently in 2008 against Monaghan. Brid is a significant member of the team on the Cork side; she has a mixture of invaluable talent and skill together with dedication making this a winning formula.
 
Brid is also a student in University of Limerick; she graduated in 2008 with a degree in Physical Education. She was also a big part of the universities ladies Gaelic team. Stack was a very strong player with this team, Brid also plays inter-county football for her native cork team, Rockchapel GAA. Stack is very dominant player in this team, with her name regular appearing in the scorers list. Rockchapel are the current holders of the Brendan Martin cup, this is the cup awarded to the winners of the All-Ireland Ladies Senior football Championship. This trophy is the equivalent of the Sam Maguire for the men’s All-Ireland.

From her success with these three teams Brid was given a GAA All-Star award in 2007 and again in 2008. This shows that people are taking notice of the footballer for her dedication to the game.
