Kelvin Giles

Kelvin Giles is a world renowned strength and conditioning coach to Olympic athletes, commonwealth medallists, world championship medallist and record holders. Kelvin is known worldwide because of his service to improving sports performance and developmental strategies. He has specialist skills in the area of strategic planning, talent identification, coach recruitment and athletic development. He is a former UK National Olympic athletics coach.
 
Giles current position is as a consultant for Elite Player Development with the Australian Rugby union. He is also the former Manager of Strength and conditioning services at the Queensland Academy of Sport during his time there the Academy won 56% of Australia’s Olympic medals in Athens.

For the past 16 years Giles has been managing director at the sports development consultancy Movement Dynamics. This company was started by Giles in 1993, it now has worldwide recognition as top specialists for high performance. Giles is also praised for his very successful time with the Brisbane Broncos during their thriving season as World Club Champions in 1992. The club were also the Australian Champions under the coaching of Giles in 1992, ’93, ’96, ’00. Giles was appointed Director of Performance for the Brisbane Broncos from 1989 during their successful seasons until 1995. Giles is also known as an author, he has written a book called Movement Dynamics Progressive Exercise Syllabus. He has also written Physical Competence Test Battery, these books are an excellent way of improving athlete’s performance.

Kelvin Giles has a wealth of knowledge in improving performance at all level of sports from schools to elite performance, this is achieved through the programs that Giles has developed and put into practise.
